1. Who we are
Localify is built by Localify, Inc. (“Localify”, “we”, “us”). Localify is a local development proxy: a small Rust daemon and desktop app that route custom .localify domains to services running on your own machine with trusted HTTPS.
2. Accepting these terms
By downloading, installing, or using Localify, you agree to these terms. If you use Localify on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have the authority to accept on their behalf.
3. What Localify does
Localify runs entirely on your computer. It sets up a local DNS resolver for .localify names, installs a local certificate authority in your trust store, and proxies requests to your own development servers over HTTP and HTTPS. Nothing you serve through Localify is sent to our servers.
Core proxy features are local-first. License activation, license refresh, checkout, support, and update checks may contact Localify or our service providers. Localify is a developer tool. It is not intended for production traffic, public-internet hosting, or use as a security boundary for untrusted services.
4. Free tier and paid licenses
The free tier lets you run up to 3 projects with 2 domains each. Paid licenses lift those limits according to the plan shown at checkout. Paid licenses are a one-time purchase that gives you a lifetime right to use the Localify version available to you, with 1 year of app updates included from the date of purchase. After that year, Localify keeps working on the last version available under your license. Access to later feature updates may require a renewal or a new license.
Each plan has a machine activation limit, such as 1 device for Single and 2 devices for Personal. Activations are managed through our licensing provider and tied to the machines where you activate Localify. You are responsible for keeping your license key private.
5. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before checkout and are charged in the displayed currency, exclusive of taxes unless stated. Taxes, currency conversion, bank fees, and payment-method rules may depend on your location and payment provider. If Localify doesn’t work for you, write to us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full, no questions asked.
6. What you agree not to do
You agree not to resell, rent out, redistribute, sublicense, or share Localify as a hosted service. You agree not to reverse engineer the licensing system, bypass activation, tamper with update signatures, or share license keys beyond the machine limits of your plan. You agree not to use Localify for anything illegal or to expose local services in a way that violates another service’s terms.
7. Updates
We ship updates regularly. Updates may add, change, or remove features, including platform integrations that depend on operating-system behavior. While your license includes one year of updates, we try to avoid unnecessary breaking changes and will flag important changes in release notes when practical.
8. Warranty and liability
Localify is provided “as is”. We make no warranty that it will be error free or that it will fit a specific purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us for a license in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Ending your use of Localify
You can stop using Localify at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these terms, for example by trying to bypass activation. Where possible we’ll contact you first.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we do, we’ll update the Last updated date at the top of this page. Material changes that affect your rights will be highlighted on the website.
